“CHIP IN FOR CHILDREN”
GOLF MARATHON

The “Chip in for Children” Golf Marathon is an unique golf experience played on one of the top courses in the country. Join this memorable day of golf and help us raise money for three worthy Central Oregon charities dedicated to improving the lives of children in our community.
Put together a team of up to four players or, for the more adventurous sort, participate as an individual in playing 100 holes at Tetherow Golf Club in a fun, fresh format. We call it a marathon and while you’ll play at a faster pace than normal it’s not a race. This is all about having a blast on the golf course in a way you’ve never done before. We have thoughtfully designed the event to maximize your enjoyment so we will save the rules for the day of the event.
As a part of the program you will have the opportunity raise the funds to sponsor your participation and to win sensational individual and team prizes in the process. Teams, comprised of either one or more players, will set a minimum fundraising goal of $2,000. With prizes like custom clubs fitted by our resident TaylorMade expert and golf packages to both Bandon Dunes and top local courses teams will be competing in fundraising as much as on the golf course. And it all goes to three great causes:
Junior Golf Performance Academy’s (JGPA) mission is to provide today’s youth with fun healthy opportunities to develop fundamental life skills and core values through activities associated with the game of golf.
CASA’s mission is to provide every abused or neglected child in Central Oregon with a qualified and compassionate advocate who will fight for and protect their fundamental right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family.
KIDS in the GAME (KITG) is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering youth to live up to their full potential through positive sports experiences that form active, healthy habits for a lifetime.
Brought to you by Junior Golf Performance Academy and Tetherow Golf Club, this event raised nearly $30,000 last year. Our goal for 2013 is $75,000 which supports charities that benefit children throughout Central Oregon. The 2013 beneficiaries are: Junior Golf Performance Academy, CASA of Central Oregon, and KIDS in the GAME.
